Field testing has demonstrated that the 50mm back bands are too small so all units will hence be issued with 60mm. The two sizes, here mounting 34/50mm cages, are arranged below. As can be seen, the amount of space between the back band and the base of the cage is quite a bit larger.
This space allows expansion during nocturnal arousal which reduces pressure to the point where no pain is involved. It also allows the testes to move independently of each other when being worn in a variety of situations.
Although it appears that the distance is large, it is actually 13mm for both the 34mm and 44mm cages.
It is only if the testes can be squeezed through a 13mm gap that the smaller 50mm back band is required. The cage design and milling allow a variety of different cage sizes. This allows the cage to fit the individual.They can be worn like a second skin with the glans hard up to the inner cone front. This positions the penis accurately to the elimination vent.
The pressure pad prevents the penis from being pulled out which keeps all erection pressure contained within the cage.The pressure pad also takes some weight which lightens the load taken by the testicles.
The units can be worn without spacers in which case the cage will be slightly looser. If the washers are tightly packed, the padlock will stay clear of the cage. The pressure pad will also trap a condom in position if required.All cages fit all back bands and all pressure pads.
